About Us

The Fats, aka the 'Travellin' Fats', began as a laugh between a bunch of mates at our first annual catch up drink, back at our old local pub.

All of us had driven from over the country to attend that first get together, and after the first thousand beers we jokingly nicknamed ourselves the Travellin' Fats,... the name stuck, and the following year we did up 20 'Fats' tees for the boys, to mark our annual event.

After an epic 3 day bender the first year, word spread, and when we rocked up the second year, there was a couple of hundred units already there, waiting to get after it. The party that ensued that weekend became legendary, and set the standard for every year that followed. 

For the 3rd annual event, we did up 150 Fats tees, and they sold out in an half an hour. The fourth year we sold out 300 in 20 minutes, & every year after just got bigger and better, and Fats gear started popping up at events all over the country.

Within a few years we were designing & producing hundreds of Fats themed tees for Footy clubs, bucks parties, B&S balls, racing teams etc, both in Australia, England & the U.S.

For the next decade, we attended every B&S ball, music festival, and party we could find, selling merch to fund our travels, and catching up with new & old mates everywhere we went.

Eventually, the need to 'get real jobs' caught up with us, and the Fats disbanded gradually but the legend lived on.

Since then every get together with the boys we have been hounded about... ‘How good were the Fats days!' & ‘you’ve got to bring back the Fats!.  It finally got to the point that we had to do something about it, & now the Fats are officially back!

The Fats brand is all about mateship, and a reminder of all the funny shit that happens when you get together with you & your loose mates...... so get on it & get after it!
